Hokuto Genbukan is a dojo, based in the north east of England, training in the traditional Japanese Martial Arts: Iaido and Jodo.

Iaido is the "Art of drawing the sword" and Jodo is "The way of the stick"

​

In the UK, the main governing body of these martial arts is the British Kendo Association (BKA). Our dojo is affiliated to the BKA and all students become  members of this organisation.
